DOEACC Society, an autonomous body of the Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communications & Information Technology (MCIT), Govt. of India, is an implementing agency for DOEACC Scheme. DOEACC Society is the only professional examination body in India, which Accreditates institutes/organizations for conducting particular course, specializing in the non-formal sector of IT education.

The Head-office of the Society is situated at Electronics Niketan, 6, CGO Complex, New Delhi - 110 003 and number of Counselling Centers are situated in important cities throughout the Country.

To provide quality assurance in computer education, DOEACC Scheme was launched in the year 1991 by the Govt. of India through Ministry of Communications & Information Technology (erstwhile Department of Electronics). Initially, the number of students registered with the Society for various levels of courses were very limited but as on date there are over 3.5 lac students registered with the Society.
